The Jewish Student Union is the student campus organization which functions under the leadership of 7 executive officers. The student leadership works together with the Hillel Program Director to plan events that bring Jewish students on campus together in a welcoming Jewish environment. In addition to social programming, the JSU creates wonderful Shabbat experiences, Holiday celebrations, community services opportunities and more.

Vice President of Israel Affairs – Zachary Hoffman
Hello! My name is Zachary Hoffman and I am very excited to be the Vice President of Israel Affairs. I have lived in sunny San Diego since my family moved here from Dallas, Texas 6 years ago. I attended the San Diego Jewish Academy, and after, participated in NATIV, a leadership program in Israel for the year prior to starting at SDSU. I immediately fell in love with Hillel and JSU. I enjoy spiced cider, a good backrub, combing my hair and you can find me smiling, playing guitar, and at Hillel just about every day. I take pride in my love for Israel, and I hope to engender a love of Israel in as many people as I can. Come find me at Hillel and say, “Hello” but be ready to be roped into a game of pool, or a viewing of “The Hebrew Hammer”. I hope to meet many new people and I hope to set an example for future active Jewish, and Israel loving, students at SDSU. Am Yisrael Chai!!!
